Monia EL BOUR
Senior Lecturer
INSTM-National Institute of Marine Sciences and Technologies
Dr Monia EL Bour is PhD in Aquatic Microbiology (Molecular Biology and Genetics) and expert on “Aquatic Biotechnology, Microbiology, Bio monitoring and Bioremediation and bio-valorization of aquatic micro-organisms.
Chairwoman in the CIESM of Marine Microbiology and Biotechnology Committee since 2019 C4/(www.ciesm.org).
Expert member of the Steering Committee of the Mediterranean Experts on Climate and Environmental Change (MedECC) since 2024 (www.MedECC.org) .
The main activities are aquatic microbial systematic and studies and cytological and molecular screening and extraction of natural products project studies in regional Mediterranean area.
Concerned in marine benthic communities’ assessment, fish diseases and bioremediation. Ongoing specific projects include bio monitoring for different marine ecosystems: microbial communities and their potential biotechnological applications for (i) biodegradation (bioremediation) or (ii) antifouling.
Author and co-author of more than 200 international and national publications and director and participant in more than 23 projects aimed in health, bio-monitoring and bioremediation of aquatic organisms since 1994. Director of more than fifty master’s and twenty thesis documents in aquatic sciences research, biotechnology microbiology and environment.
Lecturer in several hundred conferences and communications in national and international scientific meetings and courses. Reviewer of 30 international journals focusing in aquatic sciences research, biotechnology microbiology and environment. Member of five Non-Governmental Associations in Marine Sciences, Microbiology and Biotechnology and two international Associations of Microbiology (SFM) and and Marine Mediterranean Commission of Marine Sciences (CIESM).
Thouraya Barhoumi-Slimi
Full Professor of Chemistry at the University of Carthage High Institute of Environmental Sciences and Technology (HIEST) of Borj-Cedria, Tunisia.
Professor Thouraya Barhoumi-Slimi is a Full Professor of Chemistry at the University of Carthage High Institute of Environmental Sciences and Technology (HIEST) of Borj-Cedria, Tunisia. She is Head of the Common Services Research Unit NMR-IR-EA and was Director of Studies and Internships at HIEST (2020-2024). Her research focuses on the synthesis, structural characterization, and biological evaluation of heteroatom-containing organic molecules, as well as the valorization of plant materials. She has authored over 20 international publications, supervised several Master’s and PhD theses, and contributed to numerous scientific conferences as coordinator, committee member, and plenary speaker. She was Chair of the HIEST Quality Committee (2020-2024). She is certified PECB Senior Lead Auditor ISO 21001 v.2018, a member of the Royal Society of Chemistry (MRSC, UK) since 2010 and of the Tunisian Chemical Society since 1992. She has also co-founded the Tunisian Coordination Chemistry Group and the RSC Tunisian Local Section and Sciences Horizons Association.

Houyem Abderrazak
Professeure en chimie analytique à l’Institut National de Recherche et d’Analyse Physico-Chimique (Tunisie),
experte dans le développement de méthodes basées
sur la spectrométrie de masse pour l’analyse des polluants émergents dans les milieux aqueux,
notamment les microplastiques dans les écosystèmes côtiers tunisiens et les résidus des
médicaments dans les milieux aqueux. Elle travaille également sur l’authentification des
produits agroalimentaires par analyse isotopique et sur la détermination des impuretés
élémentaires dans les médicaments via des protocoles robustes fondés sur l’ICP-MS. Son
expertise s’étend à la science des matériaux, avec des travaux sur la synthèse et la
consolidation de carbures nanostructurés à usage mécanique.
Elle a encadré une dizaine d’étudiants en thèse, contribué à plus d’une trentaine de
publications internationales à comité de lecture, co-rédigé plusieurs chapitres d’ouvrages
spécialisés et présenté plus de 60 communications dans des congrès nationaux et
internationaux. Coordinatrice du projet européen H2020 TUNTWIN, elle participe activement à plusieurs programmes collaboratifs tunisiens et internationaux et s’implique dans l’organisation d’événements scientifiques majeurs tels que le congrès SPECTROMED.
Mosbah Amlouk
Pr. Dr. Mosbah Amlouk
Pr. Dr. Mosbah Amlouk, (born on March 24, 1959), received his doctorate in Physics from Faculty of sciences of Tunis Tunisia in 1993. He is actually a professor at the Carthage University where he taught physics since 1990 at Faculty of Sciences of Bizerte, Tunisia. He is interested in semiconductors sciences and technology, in particular oxides, thin film-solar cells and sensitivity devices (photocatalysis and gas sensors). Professor Amlouk has extensive experience in thin films synthesis (more than 50 semiconductors: oxides and chalcogeneides ). He is a reviewer in several peer-reviewed journals (Elsevier, Springer, ACS, APS, …) and reviewer of more than 150 PhDs from several Universities. His scientific production consists of over of 200 papers in leading international journals ( Scopus, Google Scholar), more than 100 presentations as oral and posters in international conferences, 9 chapters indexed in Scopus, 7 books (in Springer, Nova Sciences Publishers, Lambert Academic Publishing..) and supervisor and advisor of 17 students in doctorate thesis in physics. Jury president of the recruitment of the Assistants in Physics 2012-2013.And member of the Jury of the recruitment of the Associate Professors in Physics 2022.
